INDIA, Post-Kushan (Nagas of Padmavati). Deva Naga, circa 3rd century AD. Kakini (Bronze, 10 mm, 1.40 g), circa 3rd century. Chakra (sacred wheel). Rev. MAHARAJA SRI DEVA NAGA ('Great King, Lord Deva Naga' in Brahmi). Mitchiner 4730. The obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.

The Nagas ruled central India from their capital of Padmavati. Their dynasty came to an end when its last ruler, Ganapati Naga, was subjugated by Samudra Gupta in the 4th century and his realm was annexed by the growing Gupta empire
